Scottsdale police have identified the man who was shot and killed while visiting his friend’s home earlier this week.

Authorities say 48-year-old Sean Quinn has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge after Tuesday’s shooting near Miller and McDowell Roads. Officers say Michael Bradford, 46, was found in the carport area with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Bradford was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

At the home, crisis negotiations went on because Quinn reportedly refused to come out, but ultimately did so. At that point, police say he stood in the doorway and refused to follow police commands. An officer then deployed a K9 and Quinn was bitten. Police then rushed Quinn to the hospital for the dog bite injury.

Details surrounding a possible motive haven’t been released, but police say the two knew each other, and had been friends for years.
