A man is dead and two other adults are hospitalized after a crash along a major road in Maryvale Friday evening.

The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. near 78th Avenue and Indian School Road. When officers arrived, they found three people injured, two of whom had non-life-threatening injuries. The third person, later identified as 36-year-old John Fisher, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries and later died.

Preliminary information suggests Fisher was heading west on Indian School Road when the second vehicle pulled out of a business and collided with his car. Police say Fisher was not wearing a seatbelt.

Detectives are investigating the cause of the collision to determine if charges will be filed.
